It all begins with a sunrise, with a smile, or with a tear. It all depends on the moment.
The moment in which you choose happiness, when you go with that option. You really do have many options in life, but the best one will always be happiness. Why am I saying that happiness is an option? Why don’t I say that happiness is just a mood you’re in… sometimes? Because it’s not, life has taught me that you choose happiness, you embrace it, and the best thing you can do is to never let it go.
You can choose being sad or mad whenever things don’t go your way, and thinking that life is against you. But the truth is, life is not against anybody, life wants us here; because if it were otherwise we wouldn’t have been born.
I can’t say that I’m always entirely happy, because I would be lying and I would have never discovered what you’re reading.
I’m still learning but instead of crying or getting angry about life, I’m trying to smile at it.
I was voted “best smile” of my 2009 class, when I found out that 95% of my classmates had voted for my smile, I didn`t really know what to think. I had never thought that my smile would be voted out of many people the “best one”. Yes, I have those cute cheek holes that some people have when they smile, but in high school I wore braces; I had never felt that my smile was not beautiful until I got those braces.
The point I’m trying to make is that sometimes your perception of yourself is different from everybody else’s. And it’s pure logic you only perceive yourself from the inside, while you really don’t know how other people see you.
Everybody shines for something and well, I now know that my smile is great.
Those moments of absolute frustration when you don’t know wether to cry or to scream are the worst allies for decision making. Those moments are when you usually make a bad decision that you will regret for your entire life. But what can you do? To cry and to scream are the safest options, but no, you usually go for the worst decision of all. Maybe a breakup ( with the person you love, and you just realized after the break up), or maybe an insulting phrase at your mother ( that she will never let you forget), or maybe treating one of your siblings as if they were the worst thing that happened to you. Yes, they’re all bad and ugly decisions that are usually are the product of a day gone wrong, or a bad conversation with your supposedly ‘caring’ boyfriend. Those days when you feel absolutely frustrated are when you must remember to “just breathe”
She knew she wouldn’t ever see him again. She didn’t really believe in love at first sight, that is, until now. She had looked back just for a second, she was waiting for her father, when she saw him. He caught her attention immediately. Their eyes crossed for less than a split second. He looked at her, but he looked as if seeing anyone or anything. She looked at him, and her heart stopped, he was one of the most attractive beings she had seen in all her life. He was tall, tan, with piercing blue eyes, dark hair, and a mysterious yet calm-cool nature. But it wasn’t just the physical attraction, it was the idea of him that she made up in her head, the personality she had given him secretly, that matched hers. She had made up a whole future with him, in less than 5 seconds. He was in a hurry, he walked fast past her without any intention of looking back and she, she just stood there, watching as the love of her life sneaked away so easily as he had come.
